Drug Enforcement
Anderson County is in the grip of a drug crisis.
With 115 overdose deaths in the past two years, illegal drugs are devastating families and threatening the safety of our neighborhoods. As your next Sheriff, I will take decisive action to reverse this trend. First, I will hold deputies accountable. Currently, only about 25% of our patrol deputies are making the majority of arrests, while others collect a paycheck without engaging in proactive enforcement. That ends under my leadership. I will recruit and retain deputies who are motivated to serve, and remove those who aren’t pulling their weight.
Second, I will invest in modern tools and technology such as advanced surveillance, license plate readers, and data-driven crime tracking to target the dealers fueling this epidemic. This isn’t about empty promises, it’s about saving lives, restoring order, and making our community safer through real, results-driven leadership.
Safer Schools
Every child in Anderson County deserves to feel safe at school.
As Sheriff, I will make campus safety a top priority by assigning additional SROs at our largest campuses and establishing roving patrols that cover every school in the county throughout the day. These proactive patrols will provide a visible law enforcement presence, build relationships with students and staff, and respond swiftly to any potential threats.
By working closely with school administrators and utilizing strategic scheduling, we can ensure comprehensive coverage. Our children are our most precious responsibility—and I will do everything in my power to protect them.
Modernization
Anderson County law enforcement is operating decades behind.
We have no body or dash cameras. No drones for search and rescue. No trauma medical kits. No modern patrol rifles. No mobile radar systems. And yes—most of our paperwork is still being done using carbon paper, a method invented in 1806. This is not only inefficient, it’s dangerous and irresponsible. As Sheriff, I will lead the charge to bring our agency into the 21st century. We aim to implement digital reporting systems, equip deputies with up-to-date gear, and invest in technology necessary to improve officer safety, increase public accountability, and streamline operations. Anderson County deserves a professional, modern law enforcement agency. I’m ready to deliver it.
